Joseph Schmidt has more than 30 years of executive and leadership experience in a variety of industries and roles. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across several industries, particularly in the areas of business operations, sales and marketing, and leadership development. Mr. Schmidt also has extensive experience in founding, acquiring and selling businesses.
Mr. Schmidt was most recently president of Temcor Conservatek, which was formed when CST Industries acquired Temcor in 2009. Prior to the CST acquisition, Mr. Schmidt served as president of Temcor, where he was responsible for growing revenues from $21 million to over $52 million in three years. During the same time period, he also dramatically improved profitability, leading the business from negative EBITDA to over $11 million in EBITDA. Mr. Schmidt participated in Solis’ acquisition of Temcor in 2008 and its eventual sale to CST Industries in 2009. Prior to Temcor, Mr. Schmidt was a division president at Emak, Inc. for three years, and a division president at Aspen Marketing for five years, where he ultimately acquired and ran three divisions. Prior to Aspen Marketing, he served as both executive vice president and president of SCI from 1988 to 1996, which he sold to Aspen Marketing in 1996.
Mr. Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of San Diego, where he was a Franklin Award winner (outstanding senior male graduate). He is also an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
